Looking for My Anchor is about filmmaker Erica Jordan's gripping story of her quest for mooring amid grief, intersecting with the struggles of three others facing challenges on the water as she joins an offshore community of artists and maritime workers in Sausalito, CA. Erica deals with the challenges of motherhood, loss, and longing, while confronting the uncertainty of life on the water. Her story then connects with three fellow offshore residents - Henry, a seasoned and philosophical self-described 'anchor outlaw,'; Kim, a young advocate battling municipal efforts to banish anchored-out vessels; and Diane, a once-vibrant artist who died alone on her boat. These stories intricately connect to explore the pain of loss and the search for a lasting home amidst the serenity and tumult of life on the water’s edge.
