Women & the Wind is a powerful film that follows three women, Kiana Weltzien, Alizé Jireh, and Lærke Heilmann, on a 30-day voyage across the North Atlantic aboard a 50-year-old wooden catamaran. What begins as a mission to document oceanic plastic pollution transforms into a deeply personal journey of resilience, reflection, and connection to nature. With stunning cinematography by Jireh, the film captures the ocean in all its beauty and volatility, mirroring the emotional evolution of the crew. Part environmental call to action, part intimate human story, Women & the Wind is a moving exploration of our relationship with the sea, and with ourselves.
