Special screening: 50 shades of shark

The Alliance Française de San Francisco, in partnership with the International Ocean Film Foundation, is pleased to announce a special screening of the film of the film “50 Shades of Sharks” as part of Ocean Preservation Week. In a world where the mysteries of the deep sea captivate the imagination, “50 Shades of Sharks” takes viewers on a fascinating journey journey of discovery.

This captivating documentary explores the astonishing diversity of sharks and their crucial role in the ecological balance of the oceans. Through breathtaking images and inspiring stories, the film offers a unique look at these often misunderstood predators, highlighting their beauty, grace and importance to the health of our planet.

After a short exchange post film led by IOFF Director Ana Blanco, we will be screening a second short film featuring Dr. Sylvia Earle and renowned cellist Yoyo Ma on the topic of Deep Sea Mining. The second film will in turn be followed by a short talk and Q&A with Jeanne Everett, Director of Program and Operations at the Blue Climate Initiative.
