Festival FAQ’s
See below for frequently asked questions regarding IOFF 2026 in-person film festival,
running Friday April 10th to Sunday, April 12th 2026.
WHERE IS THE IOFF 2026 FESTIVAL TAKING PLACE?
Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center for the Arts,
2 Marina Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94123 (Link to Google Map)
PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSIT DETAILS:
PAID PARKING
Fort Mason Center has three paid parking areas (see map below): $5-$6/hour, $25-$30 max. Be aware parking fees may increase on certain high-attendance dates. Not sure if this is the case during the IOFF. NOTE: There will be a Farmer's Market on Sunday, April 12, 9:30 am–1:30 pm, that will take up ⅓ of all available paid parking spaces.
FREE PARKING
There are free parking areas in the Marina Green parking area directly west of the Fort Mason car entrance (see map below). Some of the parking spots are restricted where you need permits (see pictures below). You can also try to park in some of the neighboring residential areas if the Marina Green spots are full. Please be aware of restrictions and permit requirements by reading the street signs.
There are convenient PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION options that stop at or near the Fort Mason Center including MUNI buses 28, 30, 43, and 49 from around San Francisco. Golden Gate Transit buses 101, 130, and 150 are express buses from the Salesforce Transit Center (Terminal B @ Fremont St.) which pass near all the downtown BART stations and stop at the intersection of Lombard & Fillmore and ultimately connect with Marin & Sonoma counties. It's a 17 minute walk to the Cowell Theater from Lombard & Fillmore.
PERSONAL MOBILITY
There are bike racks next to Buildings C & D (see map below). I used to lock my bike to the fence right outside the Cowell Theater entrance. If you bike or use a micromobility device (e-scooter, e-unicycle, etc…) to get to Cowell Theater, we can also try to keep your bike or device inside if there is space.
