Wharf Fest, a free Fisherman’s Wharf festival, returns to San Francisco’s iconic neighborhood on October 25, 2014 from 11 AM to 9 PM. This year’s festival will include a chowder cook-off competition, maritime themed activities, a bike decorating contest, and a “trashy” fashion show.
The day will be topped off with a screening of the "Best of the Fest" animated films from the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival and a spectacular fireworks show at PIER 39.
These family-friendly events will be held at the hub of the district, Jefferson and Taylor Streets, next to the iconic crab wheel sign as well as a stretch of the Embarcadero which overlooks the Pier 41 promenade and has amazing views of Alcatraz Island.
