Tess Felix Art Piece & Studio Day

unnamed.jpg

Tess Felix creates portraits using waste materials, primarily plastic debris, that wash up on the beach to create mosaic portraits. Often these items are curious remnants of our daily life, like parts of cell phones, dentil picks, bottle caps, and the surprisingly frequent plastic tubes of oyster farming.

In this once in a lifetime opportunity, not only will you be taking home a unique print of Ocean Hero Louie Psihoyos, but you will join Tess in the creative process. This truly artist immersion experience will have you combing Stinson Beach with Tess to help her find the treasure like trash that compose her unique portraits; followed by a visit to her nearby studio to lean how she washes and prepares the materials and understand the complete process of her artwork.
