Inspiring AUDIENCES to Care for the Ocean
Since 2004, the International Ocean Film Festival (IOFF) has been recognized around the world as the premier ocean-themed film festival for its compelling, inspiring, and thought-provoking independent films.
As a nonprofit arts organization, the IOFF relies on the loyalty, passion, and financial contributions of our donors to present four days of special events and the best independent ocean-inspired films from around the world. We couldn’t make it happen without your support!
Support the IOFF Education Program
In keeping with our mission to inspire people of all ages to care for the ocean, the IOFF believe all young people deserve to have access to the awe-inspiring and educational ocean films that the festival presents. But not all kids have access to the resources that allow them and their families to attend the festival.
Through the IOFF Ocean Education Program, students throughout the Bay Area can attend the festival free of charge with their school group. Your generosity can help the IOFF host more than 1,200 kids at our special free programs, giving them a unique opportunity to experience the ocean in a whole new way — especially important for those kids who don't live near the coast and may rarely (or never) even see the ocean

HOW YOUR DONATION Is Used
Your contribution helps underwrite the costs of producing the annual festival, which showcases dozens of stunning ocean-related films — many of which will not be seen again in the Bay Area.
Now in its 15th year, the festival is bigger and better – with special workshops, more panel discussions, and more exciting film programs like the popular Sharks and Surfing series.
Every dollar you donate goes toward our growing Ocean Education Program for area students as well as helping us bring the most exciting ocean-inspired films and filmmakers to San Francisco. Contributions also help us expand our outreach to make the films and their messages available to even more people through our Traveling Program, (read more about the Thunder Bay International Film Festival in Alpena, Michigan).
IOFF thanks you for your generous support!
